The worlds of science and religion have often collided in the past 2,000 years from Galileo to Darwin - at some points it may have seemed the two could never be partners with the laws of science, precision and data led in contradiction with belief in a deity. Has that changed in recent times? Does scientific progress, particularly in the past 50 years, make believing in God an easier or more difficult concept?
