An煤na, the original voices of Riverdance, are live in concert from Belfast Cathedral in this St Patrick's Day special presented by John Toal.
The iconic vocal ensemble was formed in Ireland in 1987 by Irish composer, Michael McGlynn, and has now recorded 18 albums.
They achieved a high level of international success, including a significant role in 'Riverdance' from 1994 to 1996.
Their contribution to the 'Riverdance' soundtrack elevated the production to iconic status, intertwining Celtic mysticism with modern flair. This year is also the 30th anniversary of Riverdance.
Now considered Ireland's national choir, under the musical guidance of McGlynn, An煤na feature constructions of medieval song from Ireland and traditional arrangements - as showcased in their most recent album, Otherworld, a startlingly beautiful record that promises much for the future of the group.
Taking place in the hauntingly beautiful setting of Belfast Cathedral, this St Patrick's Day special is an incredible vocal spectacle, as the group perform a wide range of material from their long career.
The concert is being staged by Belfast Tradfest as one of the highlights in their St Patrick's Music Weekend, which is part of Belfast City Council鈥檚 St Patrick鈥檚 Day celebrations.
