Gathering memories of the Safari Park for an exhibition, St Patrick’s Scottish roots and marking the loss of a much-loved Ulster-Scot from Kilkeel.

The long-since closed Safari Park at Benvarden is the subject of an exhibition being planned by the Causeway Museum Service. Jonnie Crawford sets about gathering a few memories from those who worked there or remember going to see the lions and monkeys.
Helen Mark has been talking to Diane Forsythe MLA about her relation – Maynard Hanna – who died recently. She hears about his key role over decades in promoting Ulster-Scots not just in his hometown of Kilkeel, but across the country and beyond.
With the main tourist season approaching, David Gilliland of the Ulster-Scots Community Network tells the team about the publications available to show St Patrick’s Scottish roots.
