The daughter of an IRA man, shot dead by undercover officers during The Troubles, says she is 'sorely disappointed' the inquest into his death has been halted.
Patsy Duffy was shot by an undercover army unit in November 1978 at Maureen Avenue in Derry.
An inquest into Mr Duffy's death was opened in 2023, however his family have been told it cannot proceed any further because of a deadline set by the government's controversial legacy act.
The former Police Ombudsman, Baroness Nuala O'Loan, tells North West Today the act is 'gravely flawed' and 'should be repealed'.
