Matana Roberts is a composer, performer, band leader, saxophonist, sound experimentalist, and mixed-media practitioner working across improvisation, music , visual art, dance, poetry, and theatre. They are probably best know for the multichapter Coin Coin project. The first instalment since 2019, Coin Chapter Five: In the Garden was released in autumn 2023.
