Huw catches up with acclaimed American musician Beck, reflecting on 30 years since his break into the mainstream and to find out what he has in store for 2024.

Beck Hansen began his career as a folk musician in the late 80s before having an unexpectedly huge hit in 1994 with Loser, which had grown from a 500-pressed indie label release the year before. With the platinum-certified album Mellow Gold and its fusion of various genres, he became an unlikely musical star, solidified two years later with the album Odelay in 1996. To date, he's released eleven studio albums, winning eight Grammy Awards and three BRIT awards, as well as collaborating with the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Phoenix and Gorillaz.

Huw is also joined by professor of songwriting Sophie Daniels for the first edition of 6 Musicology, lifting the lid on how the music we love is made. Today we're discussing why song lyrics usually rhyme and what happens when they don't.
