America Ferrera joins Lauren live in the studio to talk about the cultural phenomenon that is the Barbie movie, and being on the 成人快手's 100 Women 2023 list, celebrating influential and inspiring women around the world.

Barbie broke multiple records as the biggest film at the 2023 box office, and it had the fourth biggest opening weekend of any film of all time. America worked with director Greta Gerwig and co-stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling on the film, the soundtrack of which was co-produced by Mark Ronson.

America is also widely known for her starring role as Betty Suarez in the US comedy Ugly Betty, which won her an Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award. She made her feature film directorial debut in 2022 with the film I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter.

As well as being a successful actor, director and producer, America is a long-time activist and works to elevate and celebrate voices in the Latina community and to call for more authentic representation of different cultures in the media.

The 成人快手 100 Women 2023 list celebrates inspiring and influential women from around the world, working in a range of fields including culture, education, entertainment, sport, politics, advocacy, science, health and tech - as well as activists and women who have been working to help their communities tackle climate change.
