Actor Paapa Essiedu joins Lauren live in the studio to talk about his new film, Genie, the new Christmas comedy from Richard Curtis (Love Actually, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill).

Paapa is known for his critically acclaimed stage performances in various productions for the Royal Shakespeare Company and for his BAFTA and Emmy-nominated role in Michaela Coel's I May Destroy You. Genie sees Paapa take on the role of Bernard Bottle, whose life is unravelling due to his marriage troubles and his tyrannical boss (played by Alan Cumming) when he accidentally summons a genie (Melissa McCarthy) who may be just what he needs to turn things around.

And as it's Friday, Lauren takes you on a trip to the Desert Island Disco - your opportunity to get the nation moving on a Friday morning, with dance-floor fillers of any genre.
