Oscar-winning British filmmaker Emerald Fennell joins Lauren live in the studio ahead of the release of her new film Saltburn later this month.

Emerald is known as an actress for her roles in Call The Midwife and The Crown, amongst others, as well as a writer and director. She was the showrunner for the second series of acclaimed drama Killing Eve in 2019 then made her film directorial debut with Promising Young Woman in 2020 - for which she won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and received nominations for Best Picture and Best Director, becoming one of only seven women, and the first British woman, to be nominated for the latter. Her latest film is the psychological thriller Saltburn, which Emerald has written and directed. It stars Oscar-winning actor Barry Keoghan as a young man at Oxford University who is invited to spend the summer at Saltburn, the grand home of his aristocratic friend, where all is not as it initially seems. The film also stars Rosamund Pike, Richard E Grant, Carey Mulligan and Lolly Adefope.
