Adam Walton meets the Chief Scientific Adviser for Wales, Professor Jas Pal Badyal.

Professor Badyal is an internationally recognised research chemist, known for his pioneering research on the use of functional surfaces in everyday products to protect smartphones from water damage, and to tackle global environmental and health challenges for the benefit of society.

As Chief Scientific Adviser for Wales, his responsibility is to develop the Welsh Government鈥檚 science capability, supporting the growth of a strong science and research base in Wales.
