I don't have popping ears!
Sean says he feels cheated of an experience most of us have had at one time or another: popping ears.
"How's your ear?" says Joe in Loughinisland.
My ear is not great," Sean says. He has been suffering from a blocked ear for a couple of days.
"I have a remedy for you. Put your finger and your thumb over your nose... and breathe out like heck! As hard as you can! That should pop your ears!"
"I don't think that'll work," Sean says. "I don't have popping ears. Even on an aeroplane my wife would say to me, 'Did your ears pop?' and I would have no idea what she was talking about. And I'm told that at one time that they used to give people sweets and that helped people with their ears popping if they were sucking a sweet. But I have never experienced that. I feel somewhat cheated.
