Lauren discusses the new 成人快手 drama Champion with creator Candice Carty-Williams and star Ray BLK, who is making her TV debut in the series.

Lauren is joined by Candice Carty-Williams and Ray BLK to discuss their new TV drama Champion which starts on the 成人快手 this weekend. The show is the much-anticipated first TV project for Candice Carty-Williams, author of The Sunday Times bestselling novels Queenie and People Person. The series tells the explosive story of rap sensation Bosco Champion who comes home from prison, ready to dominate the music industry once more. But when his dutiful younger sister Vita鈥檚 own talent is discovered by Bosco鈥檚 rival, she steps out of her brother's shadow to become a performer in her own right.

Described as "a love letter to Black British music" and set in South London, Ray BLK is not only making her TV acting debut in the show but also serves as Music Executive alongside Ghetts, with the drama featuring original music chosen by Ray and Ghetts as well as Toddla T, MNEK and more. Ray has been making music since the age of 13 and became the first unsigned artist to win the 成人快手's Sound Of poll for new musical talent in 2017. She released her critically acclaimed debut studio album Access Denied in 2021.
