Born in Jamaica, Grace moved to New York as a teenager. After years as a successful model, she turned her attention to the music world and in 1977, Grace released her debut album Portfolio. Following another six studio albums, the 1985 compilation album Island Life summed up the first nine years of Grace鈥檚 musical career. It featured previous hits such as La Vie En Rose, Slave To The Rhythm, Pull Up To My Bumper and Private Life.
