A Stormont fund that provides financial support to councils in the most deprived areas in Northern Ireland is to be reduced by almost 50 per cent. The councils which qualify for the Rates Support Grant, including Derry and Strabane, have now been told they are now facing an unexpected black hole in their budgets.
