U2's Bono and the Edge perform in the first of three spring editions of Radio 2 Piano Room. As part of their set, they'll perform two reimagined classics and a very special cover.

U2's Bono and the Edge perform in the first of three spring editions of the Radio 2 Piano Room. As part of their set they'll perform two rearranged and reimagined classics from their back catalogue, plus a very special cover of a band they admire.

One of the most successful bands of all time, this month U2 release their new album Songs of Surrender, which sees the band revisit some of the most celebrated songs of their 40-plus-year career. Curated and produced by the Edge, classic tracks such as With Or Without You, One, Beautiful Day, Sunday Bloody Sunday and Invisible undergo a musical reimagining, resulting in a completely new recording of each track, to include the arrangements and, in some cases, new lyrics. Songs of Surrender is a companion to Bono's memoir, Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story, which was released in November.

Also on the show, Lucy Beaumont 鈥� stand-up comedian, comedy actress and writer 鈥� chooses her penultimate Tracks of My Years.

Lucy's writing credits include To Hull and Back with Maureen Lipman (Radio 2/4), the Channel 4 series Hullraisers, and the award winning mockumentary Meet the Richardsons, which she also stars in.
Lucy鈥檚 author of the part-memoir-part-comedy book Drinking Custard: The Diary of a Confused Mum, and she can currently be seen on Channel 4鈥檚 comedy entertainment show Jon and Lucy鈥檚 Odd Couples.

Coming this October, Lucy is set to tour the UK for the first time ever with her brand new stand-up show, The Trouble and Strife.
