Heidi Thomas, Adam Frost
Rev Kate and Jason chat to writer and Call the Midwife creator Heidi Thomas about her acclaimed career in stage, film and television drama, which spans over 30 years.
Reverend Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad present heart-warming stories about life, love and modern spirituality, alongside a great soundtrack for your Sunday morning.
This morning their guest is Heidi Thomas, writer of Cranford and creator of Call the Midwife, whose acclaimed career in stage, film and television drama spans over 30 years. Her latest project is the movie Allelujah, which stars Jennifer Saunders, Russell Tovey and Judi Dench, and is based on the play by Alan Bennett. Heidi tells Kate and Jason about what it was like writing a film about the NHS during Covid, at a time when the NHS was facing an unprecedented challenges, and how she felt sending a draft copy of the script to Alan Bennett for his thoughts.
Also, Gardeners鈥 World presenter Adam Frost joins to tell us about his An Evening With Adam Frost tour, in which the award-winning British garden designer will give advice and tell amusing stories from a lifetime in the garden. He tells Kate and Jason about his love of the outdoors, how his interest started from a very young age and how he became so fascinated with watching plants and vegetables grow.
