LA Timpa is an artist, musician, producer, singer and songwriter. Nigerian born, in 2001 he immigrated to Canada and spent his formative years DJing, rapping and writing surrounded by religion, suburbia and fellow immigrants. In 2015, LA Timpa began collecting recordings and experimenting with cassette players and his computer to arrange and produce. In 2016 he released his debut EP 'Animal' and in 2019 his debut album, 'Equal Amounts Afraid'. He has since gone on to collaborate with experimental underground luminaries Klein and Space Afrika as well as remixing for Tricky. LA Timpa's latest album, 'Pity by One All Good Treasure' is out now on the London-based O___o? label and he has just self-released his second EP 'Ball Room'.
