'What sort of a song is that?'

Sean's father was not impressed by the song The Little Red Rooster by the Rolling Stones.

'Could you please play Little Red Rooster by The Stones?' asks Eddie. 'I saw Carlos Acosta dance to it.'

"I remember my father, and his friends, discussing Little Red Rooster," says Sean, "and they couldn't get over it. It was a whole new wave of music. They couldn't get over this boy, Mickey Jagger or somebody, dancing round, singing about a rooster! An old rooster! 'Little red rooster, too lazy to crow the day!' he said. 'What sort of a song is that?'"

With music from The Searchers, The Byrds, Dean Martin, and more.
