It's the 15th annual #TShirtDay. So dig out your most treasured band tee, whether old or new, and wear your love for your favourite band or artist on your chest! We are throwing out the planned playlist for the day and will play nothing but music by the artists who appear on your tees. Get in touch and send your T Shirt images via #TShirtDay.
Frustrated by the growing trend of celebrities trying to buy themselves some cool points by wearing a Ramones or Nirvana t-shirt, and conscious that lots of us had these t-shirts at home 鈥� we decided on a day 鈥� a day we could all share the musical memories that are woven into the fabric of the t-shirts we鈥檇 bought at the time.
2022 is the 15th annual T Shirt Day, and once again 成人快手 Radio 6 Music invites listeners to dig out their most treasured band tee - whether old or new - and wear their love for their favourite artist. From 5am-7pm, presenters from Chris Hawkins (5am-7.30am) to Steve Lamacq (4pm-7pm) will be taking requests, playing music exclusively via Requests from your Chests.
We are throwing out the planned playlist for the day and will play nothing but music by the artists who appear on your tees. Listeners can get involved and send in their requests by sharing a picture of themselves wearing their band or artist T-shirt on social media, using the hashtag #TShirtDay.
For this special celebration, Steve is live from the legendary Maida Vale studios with Sports Team playing live as his house band. Plus, Frank Turner joins and London Punk pioneers Big Joanie take on all comers in a special T Shirt Day quiz....hosted by Ken Bruce!
Alongside all this, Steve is joined by Lee Widdows from the University of the Creative Arts who has been the lead judge in our Polyester Prize / Organic Cotton Cup details the winning t shirt in our quest for the Best Designed T-Shirt.
