Liz Truss has endured a weekend of open dissent from the Tory ranks - with one former minister saying: "the game is up". On Friday, the prime minister sacked Kwasi Kwarteng as chancellor and announced a further row-back on her tax-cutting plans. New Chancellor Jeremy Hunt faced the media over the weekend and will today announce how he'll pay for Liz Truss's mini-budget later in an effort to calm the markets. He will bring forward "measures from the Medium-Term Fiscal Plan" - due on 31 October, in a statement later.
