with DJ Spinna + Kai Alce

Jamz is joined by DJ Spinna and Kai Alce to talk about their new 7" series, which presses specially crafted edits of classic house tracks on vinyl for the very first time.

Jamz Supernova on 6 gets your weekend party started with an uplifting array of alternative RnB, hip-hop, broken beat, global club sounds and leftfield electronica, supporting new music from the UK and further afield, whilst playing heritage artists that have come before.

This week, she's joined by crate diggers DJ Spinna and Kai Alce. Spinna began his journey in music experimenting with turntables aged 11, eventually working with the likes of De La Soul, Mary J. Blige, Stevie Wonder, and Eminem. Kai Alce was born in New York, with some of his earliest musical influences including his mother's Soca music and Caribbean rhythms. He moved to Detroit in 1980 where Techno was taking formation, and the rest is history. They'll be talking about their new Foundations 7" series.
