Album Of The Week and Gok Wan
Celebrity stylist and fashion expert Gok Wan picks his Tracks Of My Years. Plus Ken's got another round of PopMaster, and another spin of the Record and Album Of The Week.
Fashion expert, stylist, author and DJ Gok Wan picks his Tracks Of My Years all this week.
Gok first made his name as the host of the TV show 'How To Look Good Naked' in 2006, and he’s since presented series about fashion, body image and Asian food, as well as being a regular on 'This Morning'. Recently we've seen Gok in his own show 'Bling' on ITV, 'Gok Wan: Easy Asian' on Discovery+, and a revival of 'How To Look Good Naked'.
He's also been DJing at clubs and festivals for many years, and during lockdown Gok put his mixing skills to work with his 'Isolation Nation' online stream, which showcased his love of dance and house music.
The livestreams quickly grew into compilation albums and then into one of the most in-demand party series today, from sold-out shows across the country to over one million streams online for his hit single ‘Let Me Be Your Fantasy’. So in demand is Gok now for his DJing that he even played Glastonbury this year, and his next big gig is an 'Isolation Nation' Halloween special in Glasgow.
Gok's next two choices come from The Carpenters and Nat King Cole.
Plus Ken's got another round of the legendary PopMaster music quiz and your dedications with today's love song. There's also another play of the record and album of the week. If you want to contact the show, just email ken.bruce@bbc.co.uk.
