'You really are Mr Romance!'
Martin and his wife celebrate their 49th anniversary, and he reveals the song they first danced to.
A very special request comes in from Martin in Derry. He's celebrating his 49th wedding anniversary with his wife, Attracta.
"The first time I first took my girlfriend out to dance," says Martin, "was in the Stardust Ballroom in Derry, on Christmas night, 1968, and the song was—"
"Martin, you're Mr Romance!" Sean says. "You heard a song, and said, 'I've got to dance with this wee girl. I have to get her out onto the dance floor and dance with her...'"
"—and the song that the band were playing that night was Lily the Pink."
"'We'll drink a drink a drink," Sean says, "(Can I leave you home?) 'To Lily the pink the pink the pink' (You're looking lovely.) 'The saviour of the human race!'"
Sean stops singing. "Och... and Attracta! You let him leave you home! And you stayed with him for 49 years!"
With music from The Steve Gibbons Band, Buddy Holly, Acker Bilk, and more.
