'It wasn't my chat-up line!'
One listener denies that he ever used the chat-up about the field.
John The Quiet Listener says that the chat up line, 'Will you step into the field, Mary?' was his friend's line... not his.
"Oh, you're doing a Pontius Pilate?" says Sean. "It wasn't your line?"
"My friend would say it constantly," says John the Quiet Listener. "It was because when we were at the dances we were out of town. There were no taxis and no buses to get home!"
"I heard your chat up line, Coyle," says Charlie Harkin. "It was, 'Can I have the last dance?' and the girl said, 'You're already having it!'"
"We used that the other day, Charlie!" Sean says. "Pay attention. Stop looking out the window!"
With music from George Jones, Roy Orbison, Dean Martin, and more.
