"Are you Debbie Doherty?"
Sean considers the dialogue in the classic John Wayne film, The Searchers.
'The Searchers', Sean says, 'was a film I didn't like, of course, because John Wayne was in it, but there was a great line in it. John Wayne had found the missing wee girl, in the cave. You see her looking out. You see John Wayne coming galloping along, riding up to the mouth of the cave, and he pulls his horse to the ground, and then he comes running up to her, and it's years since he's seen her, and she's all growed up now after she was taken by the Indians. She's all woman now. But he doesn't say to her, 'How are you doing, love?' He doesn't say, 'Are you Debbie Doherty?' or 'Are you all right? I'm your uncle John'. He just says, 'Let's go home, Debbie'.'
