Booker Prize Winner Damon Galgut, Tim Walker on his play Bloody Difficult Women, Julia and Malcolm Donaldson

Janice speaks to Booker Prize Winner Damon Galgut about his Edinburgh International Book Festival Event, and former Children's Laureate Julia Donaldson discusses her Fringe play

Broadcast and journalist Tim Walker tells Janice about his Edinburgh Fringe play Bloody Difficult Women which gives a dramatic, comedic, human account of the case Gina Miller brought against Theresa May, and we hear how the actresses Jessica Turner and Rita Estevanovich are tackling playing two such powerful characters.

UK best-selling children鈥檚 book author Julia Donaldson and her husband Malcolm talk about their new Edinburgh Fringe show based on her much loved books including The Smartest Giant in Town, The Singing Mermaid, The Highway Rat, and The Gruffalo. We hear about how they tell the story of the Gruffalo through BSL, and about Malcolm鈥檚 move from life as a paediatrician to a joyful, guitar player performing as part of his wife鈥檚 acting troupe, dressing as a scarecrow and a circus ringmaster, all because of a 50 year love story.

Booker Prize winner Damon Galgut talks to Janice about what winning the Booker has meant to him, and in light of the changes to the judging of the prize which appear to make the process more accessible, whether the prize has suffered from an image problem, and about his Prize winning book The Promise, which charts the undoing of a bigoted South African family during apartheid, and a broken promise made to their black maid Salome.

For this week鈥檚 Tuesday Review Jenny Niven and Gayle Anderson give Janice their opinion on the World Press Photography Exhibition at the Scottish Parliament, new Nicola Walker and Sean 成人快手 TV drama Marriage, and Edinburgh Fringe Show Age is a Feeling which aims to give each audience member a personal, introspective experience.
