Live from the Edinburgh Festivals with Simon Brodkin, Denise Mina and music from Walt Disco

Nicola is live from the Edinburgh Festivals, with guests including writer Denise Mina, comedians Simon Brodkin and Sarah Keyworth, and live music from Walt Disco and Disco Mary.

Nicola is live from the 成人快手's Edinburgh festival venue, a vintage 1920s Speigeltent.

Glasgow glam goth band Walt Disco perform live.

Writer David Keenan and actor Paul Higgins tell Nicola about This Is Memorial Device, a new stage version of David's book of the same name, and crime writer Denise Mina talks about her book Confidence, and her event at the Edinburgh International Book Festival. Plus Door to Door poet Rowan McCabe.

Andy Macleod tells Nicola about his show Anoint My Head, about his days in a 90s indie band managed by Ricky Gervais.

There's more live music, with highlights from musical Manic Street Creature, theatre show Caste-ing, and word-of-mouth hit show Coming Out of My Cage (and I'm Doing Just Fine). And indie pop band Disco Mary perform two songs ahead of their set at Linlithgow's Party at the Palance on Saturday.

And comedians Simon Brodkin and Sarah Keyworth talk about their very personal stand-up shows at this year's Fringe.
