On the fiftieth anniversary of The Godfather - often proclaimed the greatest film ever made - Talking Movies celebrates this landmark classic. The team visits some of the famous New York locations used in the film, including the Don Corleone family home in Staten Island and the Brooklyn cemetery where Vito Corleone was buried.

Oscar-winning actor Robert Duvall had a prominent role in the 1972 film, and he recalls working with movie greats Marlon Brando and Al Pacino shooting scenes. Francis Ford Coppola, whose career was transformed by directing the film, also recounts his experiences. The programme goes on to explain why the film became such an enduring classic and how it still has great topical resonance.
