"I'm finished with Tom Jones."
Sean decides the story of The Dressing Gown is too boring to tell to Tom Jones.
"I have decided now I no longer want to meet Tom Jones," Sean says. "Yes, I have a story I want to tell, about a dressing gown, and I was going over the story in my head, you know the way you rehearse things? If ever I meet Tom Jones...? And I wanted The Undertone to set up the meeting, so that I could tell the Story of The Dressing Gown. And I was disappointed in The Undertone. He never bothered his big bass guitar."
"He was jealous of you," Thomasina says.
"Oh, because he didn't have a Tom Jones story? Yes... But as I was telling the story to myself as I would tell it to Tom Jones, I realised how boring it was. If I was Tom Jones listening to that, I'd throw me out of the apartment! So I'm finished with Tom Jones, and The Dressing Gown."
With music from Shakin' Stevens, Dwight Joakam, and the Dave Clark Five.
