George Ezra - BRIT-winning, Platinum Jubilee-performing superstar - chooses the Tracks of My Years all this week with Ken.
George is back with his third album 鈥楪oldrush Kid鈥, which has already produced the hit singles 鈥楢nything For You鈥 and 鈥楪reen Green Grass,鈥 as well as acclaimed new song 鈥業 Went Hunting鈥.
George first rose to widespread fame with the success of the single鈥 Budapest鈥 in 2014, and his third album comes on the back of two previous blockbusters 鈥 Wanted On Voyage (2014) and Staying At Tamara鈥檚 (2018). Both albums reached number 1 in the UK and sold millions around the world. His huge hit 鈥楽hotgun鈥 earned him his first number 1 single in 2018 and won him the 2019 Brit Award for British Male Solo Artist.
George鈥檚 success has seen him appear on American variety shows 鈥楽aturday Night Live鈥 and 鈥楾he Late Show with Stephen Colbert鈥, as well as reading the children's book 鈥楬ere Comes The Sun鈥 on Bedtime Hour on CBeebies. His recent appearances include the Platinum Party at the Palace in June, celebrating Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee, and on Saturday 16th July he performs his biggest headline show to date at London鈥檚 Finsbury Park .
This September and October George will be heading out on a full nationwide UK arena tour, beginning in Liverpool on 13 September and taking in 11 shows.
The next two tracks George has chosen come from Billy Bragg and Van Morrison
