What has been your A and E experience? 0808 5 92 95 00. Simon Calder answers your summer holiday questions and why are our students feeling lonely?
PHONE-IN
Waiting times at A and E continue to deteriorate across Scotland with just 72% of patients being seen in the four hour target in April this year (falling short of the 95% target). Dr Lailah Peel, who chairs the British Medical Association's Scottish Junior Doctors Committee, described the system as "totally broken" and said more acute hospital beds and staff were needed to address the pressures.
In a bid to reduce waiting times, a virtual A&E is being used for people who call NHS24 who might need emergency department treatment.
