A woman sexually harassed by a supervisor at Morelli Ice Cream鈥檚 distribution centre in Coleraine has been awarded twenty thousand pounds.
A Coleraine woman, who was subjected to sexual harassment in work for several years from a senior colleague, says she felt singled out and victimised when she first flagged the abuse. Shauna McFarland has been awarded 拢20,000 after winning her sexual harassment case against her former employer, Morelli Ice Cream Limited. An industrial tribunal found the conduct of Remo Di Vito, a supervisor, who is also a member of the extended family who own Morelli Ice Cream Limited was 鈥溾�y any standard sleazy and sustained.鈥� Morelli's said it accepted the criticism levelled at the company and that Mr Di Vito no longer worked for the firm.
