A service for Rogation Sunday led by the Rt Revd Gregory Cameron, Bishop of St Asaph.

Rogation Sunday is an important date in both the Christian and farming calendar and traditionally falls on the fifth Sunday after Easter. It's a day when God's blessing is sought by those communities and farmers whose lives are bound up with land on which they live and work. On this day the tradition of "the beating of the bounds" still takes place in several places as a way of teaching locals about their parish borders. Prayers are also offered for a successful harvest. Winter is past, crops are planted and growing, and there are lambs and calves skipping in the fields. In this service Gregory Cameron explores not only the regular reliable cycle of the seasons but also the fragility of our relationship with nature. Adverse weather can ruin crops and the business of lambing and calving can bring joy and tragedy. Bishop Gregory is joined by the Revd Sally Harper and the Revd Hermione Morris who are chaplains to the farming community.
