Six months after the Titanic sank, Emma Hinton has begun asking some uncomfortable questions as to the real reasons the liner went down.

We present Ghosts of the Titanic by the Northern Irish writer Ron Hutchinson. Hutchinson places his story in the context of where he grew up and the extraordinary effect the Titanic story has had the world over. It’s 1912 and Emma Hinton has come to New York 6 months after the sinking of the Titanic determined to find out the real reason the ship sank and her fiancé had to die. And having met William MacBride from Belfast she thinks she’s found the answer.
