Record Store Day with Erasure鈥檚 Andy Bell

Stuart Maconie celebrates Record Store Day, playing a selection of special new releases. Plus, Erasure鈥檚 Andy Bell shares his First, Last and Everything.

Stuart Maconie presents solo, with a feast of great music and chat for weekend breakfast.

To mark Record Store Day today, Stuart plays a selection of special new releases and is joined by Record Store Day supporter Erasure鈥檚 Andy Bell, who shares his 鈥楩irst, Last and Everything鈥� 鈥� that鈥檚 the first record he bought, the most recent he has been enjoying and the one that means 鈥榚verything鈥� to him.

Andy Bell is the lead singer of synth-pop duo Erasure, who have topped the charts with various hit singles, including 鈥楢 Little Respect鈥�, 鈥楽ometimes鈥� and 鈥楢lways鈥�. The band also have their own Record Store Day release, a vinyl edition of 鈥楴e:Ep鈥�, which originally came out on CD and cassette last year.

Also on the show... long-running feature 鈥楾he Chain鈥� which gives listeners the chance to pick a track that links in some way to the last. The list now contains over 8000 songs.
