"When was the last time you bought a fish supper?"

Sean begins a discussion about the price of fish and chips.

"I was thinking about a fish," Sean says. "Has fish got very expensive? Say to buy a fish in the chippie these days... Would you get a fish for four pounds?"

Thomasina says no. It's more like eight pounds.

"Get a grip on yourself!" Sean says. "You're talking about eight pounds for a fish or a fish supper?

"For a fish supper."

"Not at all! Sean says. "Daughter dear! Things have got bad but not eight pounds... not at all! I'd say you'd get a fish for four quid, and a few chips..."

"When was the last time you bought a fish supper?" asks Willie the Raspberry Ripple man. "Was it in the seventies along with that music you're playing? It's nine pounds for a fish supper! let me know when you get a fish supper for four pounds and I'll be down!"
