Steven Isserlis on Bach

Bach's cello suites are explored by Jamie and great British cellist Steven Isserlis this week, alongside an Album of the Week featuring harpist Elizabeth Plank.

British cellist Steven Isserlis CBE joins Jamie to talk about Bach and his universally celebrated solo cello suites; why are they so famous and so popular with cellists? Jamie鈥檚 Album Of The Week is an unusual release of harp music collected over the years by harpist Elizabeth Plank, each piece connected by the love between composer and dedicatee. Plus music by George Walker, Haydn and Sofia Gubaidulina.
