Land can be used for so many things - habitat restoration, carbon capture, solar panels, flood prevention, housing... and of course growing food. The Institute for Government says we need a land use strategy. It鈥檚 published a report looking at Environmental Land Management Schemes which are being introduced in England to pay farmers 鈥減ublic money for public goods鈥� - things like improving soil quality or restoring habitats.

The Government has released its Nature Recovery Green Paper - but the Wildlife Trusts say protected land may be at risk.

And do you know where the feathers in your duvets and down jackets come from? Famers in the UK produce 10 million ducks every year - and feathers are a by-product, plucked after they鈥檙e slaughtered. We speak to one duck farmer about how it works.
