Adam Duritz, lead singer of Counting Crows, chooses his Tracks of My Years and speaks about the release of their first album in seven years, August and Everything After.

Adam Duritz, lead singer of US rock band Counting Crows, chooses his Tracks of My Years.

The band first found fame in 1993 with their multi-platinum breakout album, 'August and Everything After' and has gone on to release seven studio albums, selling more than 20 million records worldwide. In 2004 they recorded the chart-topping 'Accidentally in Love' for the animated motion picture Shrek 2. The instant success of the track earned them an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song at the 2005 Academy Awards, a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song and a Grammy Award nomination for Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media.

Seven years since Counting Crows last album, Adam and the band returned with 'Butter Miracle, Suite One' and from that album had just released the first single 'Elevator Boots' is in praise of life on tour and the cleansing power of rock and roll.
