Janet thinks about it.

"It's an old saying," Sean says. "Say you have a visitor in the house, and they're sitting and chatting, and they say, 'Aye, now, it's time I was on the road!" and they talk, and talk, and they get to the living room door, and they pause, and they say, 'and another thing!' and then they're back in again, and then they're half way out the hall, and then they're standing at the door, and then they're opening the car door... and still talking. So that's the saying, 'He never stayed till he got up to go!'"
