"He unravelled in front of us..."

The story of an encounter between Daniel O'Donnell's jumper and the Rickety Wheel.

"Do you remember," Sean says, "when we used to spin the Rickety Wheel? And we had celebs in to spin the wheel? We had Gerry Kelly in, but the first man to spin it was Daniel O'Donnell. And I remember, it was near Christmastime, and Daniel came in looking the bees knees, and he had on a lovely, expensive jumper. Looking tremendous! And then he went to spin the rickety wheel, which as you know was surrounded by all these nails, all the way round the wheel. And one of the nails caught on Daniel's jumper. And poor Daniel... he unravelled in front of us... but he never said a word..."
