"They're not for you, son..."
"I was too puny and weak for them."
"Did you ever wear a pair of hobnail boots?" Pawnie asks.
"Yes, I did," Sean says.
"I had a terrible dream last night," Pawnie says. "I was dreaming about a shoemaker."
"Yes," Sean says. "I remember having a pair of big hobnail boots, and I couldn't manage them at all. I was too puny and too weak for them. I couldn't carry them on my feet. I was falling out of them. And Mammy took me in an told me, 'Take them off your feet, son. They're not for you.' And she put on my house slippers. I never liked them. People used to be able to make sparks with them."
With music from Roy Orbison, The Dave Clark Five, Johnny Nash and more.
