Helen Mark chats with historian David Hume about the fascinating Martha Craig 鈥� the latest recipient of an Ulster History Circle blue plaque. Born in 1866 in Gleno, near Larne, she was a remarkable woman by anyone鈥檚 standards; explorer, scientist and WW1 nurse, she earned the respect of the Ojibway Tribe in Northern Ontario who made her a Native American Princess.
