Live coverage continues as the elite races reach their conclusion on the Mall.

In the women鈥檚 race, world record holder Brigid Kosgei, the new Olympic silver medallist, attempts to win her third successive London Marathon title. Shura Kitata returns to defend his title in the men鈥檚 elite race despite having to pull out of the Olympic Games in August, while David Weir, the most decorated athlete in London Marathon history, is back for his 22nd consecutive appearance in the men鈥檚 wheelchair race.

We also highlight some of the inspirational stories amongst the 42,000 runners of all abilities, ages and walks of life as they run the 26.2 miles for their own personal and special reasons.
