The rising cost of living. How important are shared musical tastes, when you're dating? Bookshops are bucking the high street trend.
Energy bills are rising, the price of food is predicted to increase, and the Universal Credit "uplift" has been removed. It's led to wide concern over the rising cost of living. Today we introduce the You and Yours Cost of Living Panel - three individuals in different circumstances - who will help us track how people are coping in the months ahead.
Independent bookshops seem to be bouncing back after years of decline, with 60 new ones opening in the UK and Ireland in the past 18 months. Peter White talks to Carolynn Bain who's opening a bookshop in Brighton later this month and Meryl Halls, Managing Director of the Booksellers Association, about what's driving the growth and how it could help support the wider revival of the high street.
