Shellfish and a Song for Nature

Conservationists work to save Menai mussels and oysters around the coast of Wales. Also, a sound sculpture to connect the Celtic rainforests, and us, through their biorhythms.

We hear how major reforms to farm subsidies in Wales won't be brought in until 2025 as announced by the rural affairs minister, Lesley Griffiths this week. Wales' first school for vets opens at Aberystwyth University. Saving our Shellfish - the project to give Menai mussels a sustainable future, and we're also in Milford Haven estuary where conservationists hope to reverse the fortunes of oysters off our Welsh coasts. Finally, the hearing-impaired, environmental sound artist, Cheryl Beer, introduces us to the biorhythms of the Celtic rainforest in the Elan Valley to connect us with our natural world.
