OJ plays the best One Hit Wonders from a memorable summer, 25 years ago.

This week it’s our ‘Summer Of 96’ Special, as part of Radio 2’s ‘Summer Of 96’ season.

OJ takes you back to an incredible summer, when the Spice Girls brought us girl power and football was coming home.

There’s brilliant music from OMC, Los Del Rio, Joan Osborne, Josh Wink and Stretch & Vern.

OJ’s guest is James Sammon, better known as Pianoman, who had a top 10 hit with ‘Blurred.’

It features a sample of ‘Girls and Boys’ by Blur, and got to number 6 in the charts.

James talks about how the song came about, his experience on Top Of The Pops and the Radio 1 Roadshow, and why he’s re-releasing new mixes of ‘Blurred.’
