Tim McIlrath from Rise Against
Tim McIlrath, frontman for Rise Against, chooses his Rock God plus Johnnie looks back at a transatlantic number 1 album for the Red Hot Chili Peppers for 'This Week In Rock'.
Rise Against began life in Chicago in 1999 on the hardcore punk scene. As the years progressed, so did their sound, producing rock anthems such as 2009's 'Savior'.
As the band get ready to released their ninth album, 'Nowhere Generation', frontman Tim McIlrath has chosen his Rock God for the show - safe to say it's someone who utterly deserves the accolade and Tim explains all the reasons why, as well as his own encounter with his hero.
Elsewhere, Johnnie looks back at a transatlantic number 1 album for the Red Hot Chili Peppers for 'This Week In Rock', plus there are new releases from the Black Keys, The Dead Daisies and classic tracks galore.
