Scottish Inspirations

Music by Jay Capperauld, Sally Beamish, Anna Clyne and David Fennessy, written for Thomas Dausgaard's Scottish Inspirations series with the 成人快手 Scottish Symphony Orchestra.

Since taking up the post of chief conductor in 2016, Thomas Dausgaard has commissioned international composers to write music inspired by Scotland, and performed these works in concerts with the 成人快手 Scottish Symphony Orchestra. As part of Radio 3's focus on music made in Scotland, this is a chance to hear a sequence of recent recordings of these varied responses to Scotland's people, music and culture.
