In order to learn more about the intersex experience in Ireland, Dr Tanya N铆 Mhuirthile of the Intersex Mapping Study is asking intersex people, and parents of an intersex child, anonymously to share their stories with a multidisciplinary team in DCU. Her hope is that parents in future will be given better support at the birth and will be better equipped to deal with the fact that it may be unclear whether their child is a boy or a girl.
